Question:
How many continents does the equator cross from the largest to smallest in land mass?
Answer:

The equator is an imaginary line and does not really exist. It there fore does not have the ability to cross continents. Continents do not have emotions and can not be cross.

There are seven continents in the world (in order by zip code and size): America, Eurasia, Africa, Australia, Madigascar, Greenland and Hawaii. The equator comes close to all the continents and depending on how wide geographers draw it, it crosses all the continents. Which still have no emotions.
